Simple summary
SunnyDaysApp is local-first. Favorites and saved places are stored locally on your device at launch.
SunnyDaysApp does not create a permanent personal GPS history and does not store Pathfinder route
results in a user route-history database.
If you have a SunnyDaysApp account, contacted support, or later use subscriptions, you can request
deletion of personal data connected to you by emailing us.
1. Request deletion
If you are signed in, use Settings → Account → Delete account in SunnyDaysApp.
After the in-app confirmation, the server immediately disables the account and revokes all refresh
sessions. The primary account, provider identity, token, entitlement and account-linked contribution
rows are permanently purged after 30 days.
The permanent purge keeps only a non-identifying completion receipt. Existing audit events retain only
their event type and timestamp; their user link and detail payload are removed. Normal backup rotation
may take additional time, and records that must be retained by law remain subject to section 7 below.
If you cannot access the in-app control, or want deletion of support correspondence or other data not
linked to the app account, email:
[email protected]
Please include enough information so we can identify the data connected to you, for example:
- the email address used for your SunnyDaysApp account;
- whether you signed in with Google or Apple;
- your approximate request date if you previously contacted support;
- a short description of what you want deleted.
Do not send passwords, payment card details or unnecessary sensitive information.
2. Data that may be deleted
Depending on which SunnyDaysApp features you used, deletion may include:
- SunnyDaysApp account data connected to your Google or Apple login;
- account identifiers, email address and authentication state stored by SunnyDaysApp;
- support, privacy, legal or billing emails linked to your email address, unless retention is required;
- future subscription entitlement data stored by SunnyDaysApp, such as product ID, purchase token or subscription status;
- diagnostic records that are still available and can reasonably be linked to you;
- other personal data connected to your account or email address.
3. Data stored only on your device
Some SunnyDaysApp data is stored locally on your device and may not be available to SunnyDaysApp
on the server. This may include:
- local favorites;
- saved lakes, peaks, ski resorts or places;
- local app preferences;
- local cached app data;
- local map or app state stored by the device.
You can delete local device data by using in-app delete options where available,
clearing SunnyDaysApp storage through your device settings, or uninstalling the app.
If cloud sync is added in the future, this page and the Privacy Policy will be updated to explain
how synced data can be deleted.
4. Pathfinder route and location data
SunnyDaysApp sends precise start and end locations to the backend only when needed to calculate
requested Pathfinder routes. These route coordinates are processed temporarily to return the route result.
SunnyDaysApp does not store Pathfinder route results in a permanent personal route-history database
and does not create a permanent personal GPS history.
General API logs may still temporarily contain technical request data, such as IP address, request time,
request status or backend error information. These logs are kept for security, debugging and abuse prevention
and are normally retained for up to 90 days.
5. App-store, login and subscription data
SunnyDaysApp supports or plans to support Google login and Apple login. Some login information is handled
by Google or Apple under their own account systems and privacy terms.
SunnyDaysApp may introduce subscriptions later. If you purchase a subscription through Apple App Store
or Google Play, purchase and billing history may also be stored by Apple or Google. SunnyDaysApp can delete
subscription records stored by SunnyDaysApp where legally possible, but it cannot directly delete your
Apple or Google store account records.
To manage or delete data stored by Apple or Google, use your Apple account, Google account,
App Store or Google Play settings.
6. Advertising data
SunnyDaysApp may show ads through Google AdMob. Advertising identifiers, consent status and ad-related
data may be processed by Google and related advertising systems.
You can control advertising personalization through your device settings, in-app consent controls where
available, and Google account/ad settings where applicable.
Data stored directly by Google AdMob or Google services may need to be managed through Google’s own
privacy and account tools.
7. Data that may need to be kept
Some data may need to be retained even after a deletion request where this is necessary or legally allowed.
This may include data required for:
- legal obligations;
- tax, accounting or billing records;
- fraud prevention and security;
- abuse investigations;
- backup restoration periods;
- dispute handling or legal claims;
- app-store purchase records controlled by Apple or Google.
Where possible, data that cannot be deleted immediately may be restricted, minimized or deleted after the
required retention period ends.
8. Response time
We aim to respond to deletion requests within 30 days, unless a different period is required or allowed
by applicable law.
If a request is complex or we need additional information to identify your data, we may ask you for
more details before completing the request.
9. Delete the app from your device
Uninstalling SunnyDaysApp from your device removes the app from that device and may remove local app data,
depending on your operating system and backup settings.
Uninstalling the app does not automatically delete data that may exist in your SunnyDaysApp account,
Google account, Apple account, Google Play account, App Store account, support emails or app-store records.
For those records, send a deletion request or manage the relevant store/account settings.
