Community Photo Guidelines

Rules for sharing useful, respectful photos of lakes, peaks and ski resorts.

Photo-only pilot

This first version accepts still JPEG and PNG photos from signed-in SunnyDays Pro users. Videos, GIFs, captions, comments, direct messages, public profiles and visible uploader names are not part of this pilot. Every photo is held for manual review before publication.

1. What you may upload

  • A photo you created and have the right to share.
  • A genuine, useful view of the selected lake, peak or ski resort.
  • A photo that is reasonably current and does not intentionally mislead visitors.

Choose the correct place. Uploading a photo does not guarantee publication.

2. What is prohibited

  • Illegal, hateful, threatening, harassing, sexually explicit, graphic or exploitative material.
  • Photos exposing private information, homes, documents, number plates or sensitive details without permission.
  • Copyright infringement, copied tourism photos, commercial watermarks or content you are not licensed to share.
  • Advertising, spam, scams, malware, QR-code abuse, disguised files or attacks on SunnyDays systems.
  • Dangerous instructions, deliberate misinformation, unrelated images or repeated low-quality submissions.
  • Images of children where you do not have the necessary consent and rights.

3. Your rights and licence

You keep ownership of your photo. By submitting it, you confirm that you have the necessary rights and grant SunnyDaysApp a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy, resize, re-encode, moderate, display and distribute the photo inside SunnyDaysApp and its related website/CDN for the purpose of operating and promoting the place gallery. You may request removal through [email protected].

4. Safety and privacy

Image metadata, including EXIF location data, is removed during processing. Review the visible photo before uploading it. Avoid recognizable people unless they have agreed to publication. Never upload passwords, tickets, identity documents or confidential material.

5. Review, reports and enforcement

SunnyDaysApp may approve, reject, remove, resize or decline any submission. Signed-in users can report a photo and hide a contributor’s photos. Content receiving three independent reports is automatically hidden pending review. Accounts may be rate-limited, suspended or deleted for abuse. Urgent legal, privacy, copyright or safety reports can be sent to [email protected].

6. Removal and account deletion

Rejected photos are removed from the private review area. Approved photos are removed from public delivery when a removal decision is made. Permanent account deletion queues linked public and private photo objects for deletion; normal backup and CDN cache expiry can take additional time.
